Healthy Turkey Koftas with Fat Free Tatziki Dip

Traditionally made with lamb these healthy turkey koftas are made with lean turkey mince so they are low in fat. They are absolutely delicious eaten hot with a spoonful of cool fat free tatziki dip or perfect to pack cold for a picnic or in a lunch box. My favourite way to eat these is in a toasted wholemeal pitta, covered in tatziki and piled high with salad.

Ingredients

For the healthy koftas

500g turkey thigh mince

2 spring onions finely chopped

2 cloves of garlic finely chopped

1 red chilli finely chopped

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground cumin

Freshly ground black pepper

For the fat free tatziki dip

170g fat free greek yoghurt

½ cucumber, grated.

1 garlic clove, grated

Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

1Combine all of the ingredients together & form into approx 2inch long koftas. Fry the koftas in a splash of olive oil for approx 10 mins or until cooked through.
