Banoffee Millionaire Protein Flapjack 0 0 5 0

Possibly all of my favourite flavours packed into one tasty treat! These banoffee millionaire protein flapjacks seriously hit the spot if you have a sweet tooth which I certainly do.

Chef to a 100k strong chimp army I had my skinnychimp family in mind when coming up with this recipe. It needed to include a chimp staple – bananas. Toffee was an obvious choice thereafter, which is when I turned to Bulk Powders toffee popcorn whey and topping anything with chocolate improves it right?

I used Get Buzzing’s all natural banana flapjacks for the base. Some would say this is cheating, I would say clever as I had inhaled the entire batch within 20 minutes of coming up with the recipe.

You can either do my ‘cheats method’ or if you are feeling particularly Mary Berry and have more time you can try my ‘from scratch method’ – either way you must try them.

Directions

Cheat method

1Squash all three flapjacks into a small greased and lined baking tray approx 2cm thick.

2Mix the protein powder with a splash of water, add little by little until you have a very thick, sticky and spreadable paste.

3Spread over the flapjack layer and pop in the fridge for 5mins to harden up slightly.

4Melt the chocolate in the microwave (carefully!) or over a bowl of hot water.

5Pour the melted chocolate over the ‘caramel’ layer and gently spread out so it reaches the edges.

6Chill in the fridge for 5-10 minutes until the chocolate cools but is still soft. This makes it easier to cut into squares!

7Once cut put back in the fridge to fully harden the chocolate.

From scratch method

4Melt the chocolate in the microwave (carefully!) or over a bowl of hot water.
