These banana split protein pancakes were inspired by one of my favourite puddings. I wanted to recreate all the deliciousness of a banana split in pancake form. The Natural Whey Companies‘ banana split flavoured protein was ideal, if you haven’t tried it you must! The topping offers all the elements of a banana split but a fraction of the fat, sugar and calories. Happy eating!

Ingredients
for the pancakes
30g banana flavoured whey protein
70g oats
1 egg
1 teaspoon baking powder
200ml milk, milk alternative or water – more if required
Coconut oil (or your preferred oil) for frying
for the topping
1 chopped banana
1 tablespoon Greek yoghurt
Sugar free chocolate sauce
1 cherry (for decoration)
Directions
1Add all of the pancake ingredients to a blender and blend for 45 seconds.
2Heat your preferred oil in a non stick frying pan on a moderate heat.
3Add the batter to the pan in small amounts and cook for a minute or so on each side.
4Continue this progress with all the batter, add your toppings and enjoy immediately.
